Tracks
Career Pathways & Advisory Tracks provide students with the opportunity to focus their academic and co- curricular experience(s) within an area of interest/industry, leading to better-prepared and well-rounded business graduates. Students will take courses in their desired pathways, participate in student engagement initiatives, and engage in experiential learning
Advisory Tracks
For students seeking to align their academic experience with an industry focus, Advisory Tracks provide students with a guide to pursuing electives to support their career focus. These tracks provide students with the chance to focus their curriculum to align with their career aspirations. Students who elect to participate in an Advisory Track have identified their career path and are seeking opportunities to best prepare them for their chosen career path.
Students will have the opportunity to select an Advisory Track & work with their faculty advisor to design a plan that aligns students’ academic and co-curricular experiences with industry. Advisory Tracks also have suggested experiential opportunities to supplement their classroom experiences including advanced certifications, real- world projects, and internships.
Advisory Tracks are intended to enhance the student experience in the School of Business and are meant for students who seek structure for career preparation. Participation in an Advisory Tracks does not guarantee students access to the listed electives as these courses may not be offered each semester.
Finance
Within the finance major, students can choose to pursue specialty programs and tracks to better prepare them for specific careers after graduation.
Offering these programs at the undergraduate level provides Providence College students with a clear competitive advantage, increasing their value to a wide range of employers, including those involved with securities analysis, investment banking, treasury management, asset-liability management, and corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

Data is critical to nearly every decision made in today’s business world. Advances in computing technology and the availability of big data have created significant demand for analytically savvy employees who can generate insights from data that can be utilized for making better business decisions. Business analytics is a multidisciplinary field that combines mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, and finance. This pathway prepares students with the skills needed to develop and execute analytic projects within a business environment.

Students seeking to innovate, create, and develop their own enterprise are encouraged to seek out courses and opportunities to apply their entrepreneurial spirit to their work in the School of Business. Students are encouraged to seek out courses that enhance their experience and provide a foundation to create and innovate. As industry leaders require innovative thinkers to continue to grow, students with an entrepreneurial spirit are encouraged to find opportunities that will allow creativity, innovation, and growth.
