MBA Programs

mba-programsThe MBA Program at Providence College offers three programs of study: 4 + 1 MBA, full-time, and part-time. Students in all three programs take the same courses. Because students are all taking the same courses, the program provides the option to slow down or accelerate time to degree completion. Students can move from part-time to full-time, or the other direction, easily – allowing for maximum flexibility in meeting individual needs.

4 + 1 MBA

The 4 + 1 MBA program is specifically designed for Providence College undergraduate business majors and business studies minors to obtain their MBA in one year after graduation. This innovative program enables PC students to be accepted while still pursuing their bachelor’s degree. The 4 + 1 program is designed for students to take three to four classes per academic term for one to one-and-a-half years full-time.

Admission is granted to those students who meet the established MBA graduate criteria. The MBA Program encourages PC undergraduates interested in the MBA to apply during junior year. Please follow the MBA admission deadlines posted here.

4 + 1 Junior Candidate

Junior MBA applicants should apply to the program by the posted admission deadlines. Junior applicants are encouraged to complete the MBA prerequisites during their junior year. If admitted into the Program, applicants will begin taking one to two MBA courses during senior year. Students will work with the MBA Program director, their faculty adviser, and the dean of Graduate Studies to determine the appropriate MBA courses to take during senior year. 4 + 1 juniors may complete the remaining MBA courses within one academic year after graduation. Please refer to the 4 + 1 Recommended Plan of Study document.

Students who still have prerequisites to fulfill can start the program before completing the MBA prerequisites. Depending on how many prerequisite courses the student needs to fulfill, the program can take up to two years full-time to complete.
