Brief Biography:

Dr. Liu Wang is Professor of Finance at Providence College and Director of Research at Balanced Wealth Management. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Dr. Wang has published numerous articles at leading academic journals and is a frequent speaker at local and international conferences. She is well respected in the fields of emerging markets finance and, more recently, on corporate social responsibility and sustainable investing. Her research and dedication to the profession have been recognized with various research excellence, best paper, best reviewer, and distinguished research mentor awards. In addition to being a prolific scholar, Dr. Wang also serves as Board of Directors for several local and international organizations, including the CFA Society Providence and WaterFire Providence. She is also the Editor of International Journal of Emerging Markets and the Associate Editor of New England Journal of Entrepreneurship.
