Congratulations, You’ve Been Accepted! Here are the Next Steps:
To confirm your decision and to secure a spot in the program:
- Complete the Reply Form located in the application status page (scroll to the bottom of the page)
- Pay the $250 non-refundable Enrollment Deposit, also found on the application status page
After confirming attendance, next steps are as follows:
- If you have completed your undergraduate degree, you will receive PC login credentials via an encrypted email within several business days.
- If you have not completed your undergraduate degree, your credentials will be sent as soon as we have your final transcript. Please note that you will need to request your final, conferred transcript. It must be sent to pcsb-grad@providence.edu. Students are ineligible for financial aid, scholarships, or graduate assistantships until entered into a program, thus cannot be registered for classes and will not receive PC login credentials.
Note: PC email is the preferred communication for Providence College. Be sure to begin checking PC emails once login information is received. Any emails regarding financial aid or registration will be sent there.
- Obtain a PC Student ID: Students enrolled in a degree program are eligible for a PC ID card, which allows access to parking, the library, printing, access to the Ryan Center after hours, the RIPTA bus line, etc. Sign up for your ID online and upload a photo. ID cards are generally available for pick-up in the PC ID Office, Harkins 401, within 2-3 business days.
- Request a Parking Sticker: Graduate students are eligible for a free parking sticker to be able to park on campus. Request a sticker online. Stickers are mailed within 2-3 business days. Student parking is available in the Anderson Stadium garage. Parking locations may be viewed on the Office of Public Safety website.
- Register for and Complete Pre-requisites and Foundational Requirements:
MBA Program Foundational Requirements
One-year students should complete any pre-requisite and foundational requirements over the summer term prior to beginning full-time fall courses. Refer to pre-requisite details on the advising page.
All MBA Students must Complete MBA 502: Foundations of Business, which consists of:
- MBA Math (online): All sections of MBA Math, which consists of: Spreadsheets, Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Statistics, must be completed with, at least, an 85% to satisfy MBA 502 and to graduate from the MBA Program. Access to MBA Math will be provided to students shortly after the reply to offer of admission and enrollment deposit are received. Students will upload their MBA Math transcript here, when completed.
- Excel Proficiency: Students must demonstrate Microsoft Excel proficiency in preparation for the MBA Program. MS Excel Certification is offered through the Chirico Career Center. More information on MS Excel workshops available at Providence College will be available upon the student’s confirmation of attendance to the PC MBA Program. Students will upload a copy of their MS Excel Certificate here, when completed.
- Attend the mandatory New Student Workshop: All new students must attend the New Student Orientation Workshop(s). Orientation is designed to prepare students for the MBA Program on topics such as: skills and professional development, business communications, and leadership. Students will also network with peers, professors, and MBA staff. Orientation information will be available upon the student’s confirmation of attendance to the PC MBA Program.
- Work Experience Requirement: The MBA Program requires work experience. To satisfy this requirement students may complete one of the following:
- complete a 300-hour business-related internship
- complete a PCSB real-world consulting course for credit
- demonstrate significant prior business work experience
- receive a business-related full-time job offer prior to starting the MBA Program (requests for this waiver must be submitted to the MBA office within the first semester of study)
Students are required to log their work experience in Handshake. More information on Handshake will be available upon the student’s confirmation of attendance to the PC MBA Program
*Please note that graduate assistantships do not fulfill the internship requirement.
M.S. in Business Analytics Foundational Requirements
All MSBA Students must Complete MSA 502: Foundations of Business, which consists of:
- MTH 217: Statistical Analysis for Business Decisions I: Students must take an Undergraduate-level Statistics course. MTH 217 may be taken with the PC or at another institution. If at another institution, the PCSB-Grad office must pre-approve. View equivalent courses.

M.S. in Sports Administration Foundational Requirements
The following requirements must be completed prior to matriculation.
MSS 502: Foundations of Business, 0 credits
-Statistics
-Microsoft Excel Certification
-Work experience: 1) Internship, 150 hours, or 2) current/past employments in sports or 3) sports consulting project (can also be completed during fall term)
-Summer School of Business Graduate Orientation and sports student engagement event
-Winter student engagement experience
MSS 503: Foundations of Business Administration, 3 credits (only required for non-undergraduate majors in business; consideration for minors will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis)
- Students should utilize the PCSB-Grad Student Portal for student forms and other academic resources, such as the PCSB-Graduate Handbook. Students are responsible for familiarizing themselves and understanding Graduate and MBA policies and dates listed in the:
