Welcome to the Providence College School of Business! While starting your academic career at a new college is exciting, it can also be a little overwhelming. Our goal is to make your transition successful. Below you will find links to many useful resources and information that will help orient you and help prepare you for your first year at the Providence College School of Business.

School of Business Summer Workshops

  1. Advising and Your First Year | July 15, 6:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • This workshop will go over what to expect as a first-year business major at PC. We will cover advising, campus resources, program requirements, curriculum overviews, and how to make the most of your first semester. 
  2. Managing Your PC Email | July 23, 3:30 PM | Access Workshop
    • The main method of communication at Providence College is Outlook Email which means your inbox fills up daily. You don’t want to miss important information or deadlines so join this session to learn about how to manage your inbox and stay organized. We will also cover email etiquette when communicating with faculty and others
  3. Effective Communication Workshop | July 30, 3:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • Effective communication is more important than ever, whether in class, professional settings, or personal interactions, the ability to convey ideas clearly and confidently is crucial for success. This workshop is designed to equip you with the essential skills and strategies needed to enhance your communication abilities for your time at Providence College School of Business.  
  4. Study Abroad for Accountancy and Finance Majors | August 5, 3:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • This workshop is designed to guide you through the exciting journey of studying abroad! This session will cover a variety of topics to help you make an informed decision and prepare for your international academic adventure. 
  5. FLIP Program and Engagement in the School of Business | August 7, 6:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • This insightful and interactive workshop is designed to enhance your understanding of the FLIP (Friar Leadership Immersion Program), how to effectively use the Suitable app, and how to find and engage in opportunities across campus. This workshop will equip you with the necessary tools and knowledge to make the most out of campus resources and initiatives.
  6. Study Abroad for Management and Marketing Majors | August 8, 3:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • This workshop is designed to guide you through the exciting journey of studying abroad! This session will cover a variety of topics to help you make an informed decision and prepare for your international academic adventure. 
  7. Fostering a Culture of Inclusion and Belonging | August 12, 6:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • This webinar delves into the benefits of creating welcoming spaces for all. This workshop will provide the necessary concepts, tools, resources, and strategies to help individuals contribute to an inclusive campus environment. 
  8. Mapping Your Why Workshop | August 14, 6:00 PM | Access Workshop
    • This workshop will guide you through a journey of self-discovery, enabling you to understand your passions, values, and goals, and how these elements come together to form a clear sense of purpose.
