Marketing Courses & Tracks

The PCSB marketing program offers a broad-based business curriculum coupled with a functional knowledge of marketing. In addition to the liberal arts core curriculum, all students are required to take business core courses in accounting, economics, finance, management, mathematics, and statistics.

Required courses in marketing major include:

  • Principles of Marketing
  • Buyer Behavior
  • Integrated Marketing Communications (only for Classes 2021 and 2022)
  • International Marketing
  • Marketing Research
  • Marketing Capstone

Marketing majors are also required to take any two of the elective courses in marketing (for the Classes of 2021 and 2022) or any three elective courses in marketing (starting with the Class of 2023):

  • Advanced Advertising
  • Bauhaus Design
  • Brand Marketing
  • Fashion Marketing
  • Luxury Marketing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Personal Selling
  • Integrated Marketing Communications (offered as an elective starting with the Class of 2023)

Marketing Department Tracks

The Marketing Department offers Career Pathways for students seeking structure for their pursuit of careers in Professional Sales and Marketing Communications. These Pathways will provide students with opportunities to take courses that will lay the foundation for opportunities in these sectors. 

Professional Selling Track

The Professional Sales Track provides students with academic and active learning opportunities for students seeking guidance on pursuing a career in sales. The suggested courses provide foundational knowledge that will combine with active learning opportunities to better prepare students for opportunities in sales.
