PC Business Ethics Case Competition

The PC Business Ethics Case Competition is a competition held exclusively for Providence College students from all majors. Teams of three or four undergraduate students analyze a current ethical business issue and present their solution to a panel of judges. Teams are encouraged to have a faculty advisor for the competition.

Fall 2025 PC Business Ethics Case Competition

When: Wednesday, October 22, preliminary round, and Saturday, October 25, final round

Where: Ryan Center for Business Studies, Providence College

Space is limited to 20 teams. Teams are comprised of 3-4 individuals. A faculty advisor is highly encouraged.

By competing in the PC Business Ethics Case Competition students may earn:

  • 1st place prize is $2,400, 2nd place prize is $1,200, and 3rd place prize is $600, to be split equally among team members
  • Valuable research and presentation skills that can be added to resumes and discussed in interviews
  • FLIP points
  • PC representatives to the Michael Smith Business Ethics Case Competition will be selected from this case competition

The competition will take place in person on the Providence College campus.

Team registration for the 2025 Providence College Business Ethics Case Competition is now open. Registration ends October 5. Space is limited to the first 20 teams to complete and submit the form below.

Each team should have 3-4 members (a minimum of 3 members must present) and a team captain who will be the primary point-of-contact for all competition-related communications. All PC majors are welcome and encouraged to participate.

It is required that each team have a faculty or staff advisor. Please obtain your advisor’s approval before putting in an advisor’s name. If you are unable to find an advisor, we can match you a willing advisor.

Benefits and Prizes
  • Cash prizes for the top three teams
    • First Place Team: $2,400
    • Second Place Team: $1,200
    • Third Place Team: $600
  • Gain valuable research and presentation practice, as well as have an experience to discuss during internship and job interviews
  • FLIP points will be awarded to participants registered on the Suitable platform
  • Winning team will represent PC at the Michael Smith Regional Ethics Case Competition in the spring
