Business Advisory Council

The Business Advisory Council (BAC) exists to support the Providence College School of Business (PC Business) in its efforts to achieve its mission and to continually improve its educational quality. As PC Business moves beyond the achievement of AACSB accreditation, the BAC will play a critical role in helping the School to garner a national reputation as a center of excellence for business education. The BAC fulfills the following specific functions:
- Advises PC Business and acts as a sounding board to help advance the School as a respected provider of business education on the national level.
- Participates in the life of PC Business through, for example, being a guest speaker, mentoring students and faculty, supporting student clubs and other non-traditional elements of students’ education, supporting and/or judging case and business plan competitions.
- Provides introductions to the business community to help promote, for example, student recruitment, internships, student placement, and student consulting projects.
- Assists in fundraising and development events for PC Business.
In addition to the Business Advisory Council, the Providence College School of Business has established the Emerging Business Leaders Council, a network of young alumni leaders who offer support to current students as they explore career options, internships, and job opportunities.
