Ms. Benson joined StepStone in May 2026, to lead the Defined Contribution efforts for the firm. StepStone is a ~$900 billion global private markets firm working with clients to deliver tailored investment solution across all private market asset classes including private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Prior to joining StepStone, Ms. Benson led the East Coast Institutional Defined Contribution Team at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager. She was responsible for new business development and relationship management for Corporate, Public and Taft-Hartley plan sponsors with assets greater than $2 billion. Ms. Benson worked directly with plan sponsors to implement investment solutions that accomplish the retirement goals and objectives for their participants. During her time at BlackRock, she was part of three different offices beginning in NYC, then Atlanta and most recently Boston. During her time in Atlanta she was part of the Leadership Team to grow the office from 100 to nearly 1000 people and build the presence in the Atlanta community.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms. Benson was a Senior Principal at Galliard Capital Management, ~ $90 billion fixed income and stable value asset management firm, leading the new business development and consultant relations. Prior to Galliard, Ms. Benson was an Investment Consultant working with Institutional Corporate, Public and Taft-Hartley Plan Sponsors in an advisory capacity on asset allocation, plan design and investment manager selection. Ms. Benson began her career as an Investment Analyst at Hewitt Associates. Ms. Benson attended Providence College where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Mathematics. While at Providence, Ms. Benson was a four-year member of the Friars Swim Team and captained the team her in senior season.

Ms. Benson currently resides in Westwood, MA with her husband Bobby and sons, Tucker and Griffin.
