Sean is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Delta Dental of Rhode Island and its subsidiaries. He has responsibility for all financial aspects of the company in addition to human resources, risk, compliance, internal audit, facilities, and procurement. Prior to Delta Dental of Rhode Island, he was a senior finance executive with MassMutual in Boston with oversight for all aspects of accounting, regulatory reporting, tax, finance data management, wealth management finance and treasury. Sean was also a director on various of MassMutual’s regulated legal entities, including their broker-dealers, registered investment advisor, equipment finance and trust companies. Prior to moving to MassMutual, he was at State Street Corporation for 12 years where he was Chief Accounting Officer & Controller in the finance division. Sean began his career with KPMG, spending over 8 years as a director in both audit and transaction advisory practices in various offices in the US and in Europe. He has a CPA license from the State of Rhode Island and is a judge for MIT’s annual $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. Sean is a member of the Board of Trustees of IYRS School of Technology and Trades in Newport, RI.
