Student Engagement at PC Business

At Providence College, we believe your undergraduate years should be a time to grow, learn, and explore. PC Business embraces this philosophy through the Friar Leadership and Immersion Program (FLIP). FLIP is designed to help students build critical business skills and explore potential career paths through hands-on learning and professional development opportunities. To make this possible, PC Business partners with the Chirico Career Center to bring engaging experiential learning activities throughout the year.

First-year students get their first introduction to FLIP through Providence College’s Business Exploration and Cultural Agility Badge which is integrated into advising workshops, career prep workshops, networking events or First-Year Seminar classes. Participation in FLIP is required for first-year students, transfer students, and newly declared business students to progress in the School of Business. This early introduction helps students uncover the many resources available at Providence College, explore career possibilities, learn the steps to achieve their goals, and develop both technical and soft skills needed for success.

FLIP is all about enhancing the college experience. It connects students with experiential learning, introduces them to business professionals and alumni for networking, and equips them with the skills they need to step confidently into their chosen careers. By the time they graduate, students are prepared to turn their ambitions into reality.

Student Requirements for the Friar Leadership & Immersion Program
