Susan Lasota ’88

Susan Lasota recently retired after 35 years in Information Technology, and most recently as Chief Technology Officer at State Street Global Advisors. In this role, she was drove the vision for Information Technology as well as oversaw all application development and support, application architecture, and technology innovation. She was a member of the Executive Management Group as well as a number of other key operating committees.
Susan joined State Street Global Advisors in July 2016 through its acquisition of GE Asset Management (GEAM) where she was the Chief Information Officer and Head of Investment Operations. She joined GE in 2003 and played a variety of senior leadership roles across GE Capital and GE Asset Management. Prior to joining GE, she worked for several financial services companies.
Throughout her tenure, Susan was an enthusiastic and active sponsor for company and community inclusion activities. She led numerous professional women’s networks, participated in senior level Diversity, Inclusion and Culture councils, and sat on the board of the Stamford, CT YMCA organization.
Susan attended Providence College graduating magna cum laude in 1988 with a degree in mathematics and computer science. She also received her MBA from Columbia University.
Susan lives in Westchester, New York with her husband George and children Caroline, Claire, and Brendan.
