Spooked by Spring Registration? Fear No More with These Course Overviews!
Course registration starts in less than a week, and it can be a scary time for students—but it doesn’t have to be.
With so many interesting classes offered at Providence College, it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly which ones to include in your schedule. Furthermore, students often struggle to balance picking classes that meet their core curriculum, major and minor requirements, and those they are simply curious about.
However, all hope is not lost. For the last two months, the Providence College School of Business YouTube channel has been populated with videos designed to address these specific concerns. Through the weekly video series titled “60 Second Overview,” information about specific business classes has become more accessible for all students. For example, did you know Operations Management (FIN 310) is a required class for all PCSB majors, and you can take it before Managerial Finance I (FIN 207)? If not, consider checking out the playlist below!

However, these videos are not mere summaries of information already available to students. While these videos cover general information about courses, like a brief description, prerequisites, and who must take the course for their major/minor, they also include information such as when you should take the course and a sample problem!
With new overview videos being uploaded regularly, it’s a great time to become a subscriber today.
