PCSB Spotlight: Small Business Saturday

Saturday, Nov. 26, is Small Business Saturday in the United States. This day, occurring after Black Friday every year, recognizes small businesses across the country and encourages consumers to support these establishments as the holiday shopping season begins. In honor of Small Business Saturday, the Providence College School of Business celebrates current students and alumni who own and operate small businesses.
Sincerely Sylvia – Sylvia Amefia ’23
Major/minor: Marketing, English
“I am a self-taught makeup artist who strives to make all my clients feel and look like the best version of themselves. I became a makeup artist because finding someone who could work on my skin-tone was nearly impossible. I am a makeup artist for ALL but particularly for those who struggle with finding a diverse Makeup Artist. I take pride in the fact that I can work with all shade ranges and textures. As a makeup artist I enjoy studying people’s faces and seeing what I can do to enhance someone’s natural beauty. To me, makeup is not about creating a new face but rather enhancing one’s own beauty. That’s why I approach every client differently based on their skin color, type, and looks. I am proud to sign off on every face I touch.”
