Ryan Powers co-founded RJP Packaging in New York in 2017. RJP acquired Admiral Packaging’s Packaging Supply Division in Providence, Rhode Island which brought the company to New England. RJP has since acquired Aggressive Packaging, Legacy Supply, and a facility in Pawtucket, RI to accommodate the rapid growth of the company. RJP Packaging has quickly become a leading full-service packaging distributor and will continue to grow for years to come.

Prior to starting RJP Packaging, Ryan was an Investment Associate at JP Morgan with Series 7 and 66 licenses. He worked with large family offices and hedge funds and was the point person between institutional traders and his customers. Before that, Ryan was a financial analyst at AEP Industries and was an integral part of the acquisition of Webster Industries. He also worked at Citigroup and for State Street’s Global Markets Division while studying abroad in London.

Ryan graduated from Providence College with a bachelor’s finance and a minor in economics. He has been actively involved with Providence College during his time at the school as well as after graduation. Some of his involvements include Senior Giving Committee, Reunion Committees, Wall Street Alumni Council, Young Alumni Leadership Council, panelist on Careers off Wall Street, and was an active member of the Providence College Club of New York while living in New York City. Ryan has always been close with the school as well as the men’s basketball games, attending games all around the country.
