Photos: Topping-Off Ceremony for the New PCSB Building

Last Friday, the Providence College community gathered at the construction site for the Arthur & Patricia Ryan Center for Business Studies to celebrate an exciting milestone. The topping-off ceremony, which involves the placing of the final beam on the building, is an ancient tradition that marks the transition from the structural phase of the construction process.  The beam was available for signing for an hour before it was raised, and all were invited to stop by and leave their mark. Atop the beam, a small evergreen tree was placed to symbolize good fortune for the building.

During the ceremony, PCSB Dean Dr. Sylvia Maxfield, Fr. Brian Shanley, and other member of administration spoke about the exciting future the new building will offer the School of Business.  Leaders and members of the Dimeo construction team were also recognized throughout the event.
