Mr. Gorgone is currently the Head of Capital Formation & Investor Relations. Founded in 2000, RA is a $12 billion biotech and healthcare focused firm co-led by Dr. Peter Kolchinsky and Dr. Raj Shah. With locations in Boston, New York, and San Francisco, RA Capital consists of 150 research and investment professionals managing a diversified suite of life science focused strategies

Most recently he was a Manging Director at the Man Group, a $90 billion dollar global asset management firm. Prior to Man Group, he was a Senior Vice President at Trian Partners, a $10 billion activist equity fund managed by Nelson Peltz. He previously served as a Vice President at Balestra Capital in their business development group, where he was responsible for the development of the firm’s global institutional investor base. In 2009, Mr. Gorgone worked for the U.S Department of the Treasury in Washington DC under the direction of Secretary Timothy F. Geithner on all mortgage finance and TARP related initiatives. Prior to the Treasury, he worked as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers in its Securitization and Global Real Estate Group.

Mr. Gorgone attended Providence College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 and holds his FINRA Series 7, 63, and NFA Series 3 licenses. While at Providence College, Mr. Gorgone was an active member of the performing arts and choral ensemble. He remains involved through the school’s New York alumni chapter by serving as a Committee member for its flagship fundraiser, Providence in New York City, and has been actively involved in the recent launch of it’s Wall Street Alumni Council.

Since 2010, Mr. Gorgone has served as a mentor through his involvement with iMentor, a non-profit organization which has served more than 6,000 inner-city students since 1999. He also enjoys running, skiing, boating, travel, and spending time with his family on Cape Cod.
