Chris Dubois was a founding partner of Pulse Trading, a national brokerage firm that was an early adopter of electronic trading services. Building on Pulse’s initial success, Chris led Pulse to build BlockCross, an alternative trading system that matches large[1]size equity orders before they go to public markets. The rapid growth of BlockCross attracted the attention of State Street Global Markets, who purchased Pulse Trading to acquire BlockCross in 2012. As a Senior Vice President at State Street, Chris continued to grow the BlockCross business. In 2017 Instinet, a Nomura Company, purchased the BlockCross business from State Street. Chris is now a Managing Director at Instinet, overseeing the firm’s global liquidity venues. In this role he oversees all aspects of equity crossing for Instinet’s diverse client base.

Chris has a BA in Economics from Providence College. He is active in the Boston business community, helping several small businesses find their way to success. Chris lives in Hingham, MA.
