From Friartown to the Celtics: Jenna Cobb ’24
For Jenna Cobb ’24, her time at the Providence College School of Business was more than just earning a degree — it was about building a path into the sports industry through experience, involvement, and intention.

How It Started
As a marketing and management double major and a student in the MBA (4+1) program, Cobb approached her time at Providence College with a clear focus: to gain as much real-world experience as possible.
Throughout her years, Cobb sought out opportunities that would immerse her in sports, marketing, and fan engagement. Her experience includes roles with the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics, where she worked directly in game operations and member experiences.
Additionally, on campus, Cobb worked as a marketing and social media student worker for PC Athletics, helping bring the Friars brand to life, and later served as a marketing & promotions graduate assistant. Cobb also was part of the Benjamin Family Social Media Fellowship, where she further strengthened her skills in content creation and digital engagement.
Beyond her professional experience, Cobb stayed deeply involved in the PC community. She was an active member of the American Marketing Association, Friar Fanatics, Women in Business, the Providence College School of Business Mentor Program and was later inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma for her academic achievements.
How It’s Going

Today, Cobb is a member experience executive with the Boston Celtics, where she plays a key role in shaping how fans engage with the organization. Cobb works closely with season ticket members, ensuring they have a seamless and high-quality experience throughout the season. She focuses on creating a personalized and engaging experience for each of their members by building strong relationships. She is also involved in planning and executing member events, benefits, and game day programming, working to bring fans closer to the team and enhance the Celtics experience.
Cobb supports member engagement and retention initiatives, using communication and service strategies to strengthen long-term relationships with her fans. Her role sits at the intersection of marketing, operations, and customer experience, skills she gained from her time at the Providence College School of Business and additional professional experiences.
