Meet the 2023-24 Benjamin Family Social Media Fellows
The Providence College School of Business is ecstatic to announce the incoming team for the Benjamin Family Social Media Fellowship. Selected from a large and competitive pool of talented students across the student body, these nine fellows are equipped with the skill and spirit needed to represent the PSCB brand. Through training, digital marketing coursework, and team meetings, they will envision, execute, and analyze content for all PCSB social media platforms.
Caitlin Ariel ’24 – Chief Content Officer
Caitlin is a rising senior from Medfield, Massachusetts who is majoring in marketing and minoring in writing. On campus, she was recently elected as Executive Treasurer of the Student Congress and has been an active member of the Student Congress Public Affairs committee since her freshman year. She is an orientation leader, a writing tutor, a member of the Marketing Fellows, a writer for The Cowl, and a member of Friar Fanatics. Outside of school, Caitlin just wrapped up an internship as a Social Media and writing intern at Cravosity, a social media startup based in Chicago, and she is looking forward to starting as an Aerospace Marketing Intern at Sensata Technologies this upcoming summer. Caitlin is looking forward to leading a dedicated and driven team to share student stories and build upon the prominent brand voice that captures the passion of PCSB students and faculty. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with other fellows and is excited to have a lasting impact on the PCSB.
Maddie Frick ’24 – Creative Director
Hailing from Wyckoff, New Jersey, Maddie Frick is a rising senior with a major in marketing and minor in studio art (digital imaging). As a Student Engagement Marketing Intern for PC Dining, Maddie creates content for social media accounts and leads peer-to-peer marketing events. Last summer, Maddie worked remotely for Carhartt as a D2B Marketing Intern, helping build and create Carhartt Company Gear’s fall and winter promotions. She also is the President of Colleges Against Cancer and a certified Les Mills BodyPump instructor. She is extremely excited to start creating content for PCSB along with the other fellows.
Cara Daltwas ’25, Community Manager
With a double major in finance and marketing, Cara is a rising junior from Haddon Township, New Jersey. (class of 2025). An active leader on campus, Cara is a peer mentor for the PCSB Student Mentor Program, an Admissions Ambassador, and a member of the Women in Business Club. She brings experience in content creation from her current social media marketing internship at beachkrew, a beach-inspired lifestyle brand, where she helps manage the brand personality and voice via TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts. Cara is excited for the opportunity to work alongside the other fellows while fostering the Providence College School of Business Community.
Valerie Cruz ’25 – Researcher
Valerie is a rising junior who is a marketing and sociology double major from Providence, Rhode Island. She serves as the newly appointed vice president for Motherland Dance group, treasurer for NABA (National Association of Black Accountants), and coordinator for the Horizons program. She is also a dream coach for the Transitions pre-orientation program and is a Berkeley Scholar within the business school. As a Benjamin Fellow, Valerie is excited to get firsthand knowledge and experience in social media research and analytics, collaborating with her teammates to lead impactful campaigns.
Zack Espat ’25 – Analyst
Zack is a rising junior from Rhode Island, with a passion for digital marketing and financial accounting. He is an accounting and marketing double major, as well as a finance minor. After completing an MBA program, Zack aspires to enter a career in public accounting. Zack is looking forward to the knowledge and experience he will gain as part of the fellowship.
Mazie Goscinak ’24 – Editor
Mazie is a rising senior from Saugus, Massachusetts, with a double major in finance and marketing. Currently, she serves on the executive board for the American Marketing Association and is a member of Women in Business. This past fall, she studied abroad in Rome, and enjoyed the experience of exploring her personal and professional interests. Last summer, she worked as a marketing intern for Baystate Financial Services where she acquired many social media marketing skills that she will apply to the fellowship. She looks forward to creating new and exciting initiatives alongside the other fellows.
John Paul Brisette ’25 – Marketing Consultant
John Paul Brissette is a rising junior with a marketing major and a communications minor from Cranston, Rhode Island. He is a member of the Providence College Ultimate Frisbee Team and Campus Ministry. John Paul co-founded a company called Broskies’ Studios which specializes in social media marketing and content creation. He has worked directly with major brands, content creators, and professional sports teams as a consultant and content creator. John Paul is an active member of the Society of St Vincent de Paul serving at the national and local level on various committees and in leadership positions.
Ashley Meeker ’24 – Marketing Consultant
Ashley is a rising senior from Farmington, Connecticut, with a major in marketing and a minor in finance. On campus, she is a member of the Entrepreneurship Society and PCSB mentor program. She also assists with the Providence Athletics marketing team. Outside of school, she has previously worked as a social media marketing intern for Urban Body Fix and a marketing associate for The Primacy, a digital marketing agency. She is looking forward to applying her digital marketing knowledge to the real world and within the PC community.
Alexis Carabetta ’24 – Marketing Consultant
Alexis is a rising senior from Meriden, Connecticut, with a major in marketing and minor in finance. On campus, Alexis is involved in the Student Alumni Association as well as the American Marketing Association. Outside of the classroom, Alexis previously worked as a Marketing Intern at Times Microwave Systems. She is eager to apply her skills and experience to the Digital Marketing Consultant role and collaborate with the other fellows to deliver meaningful and exciting PCSB content.
