Just over a year since their travels to Paris, France during the study abroad component of MBA 695: Global Management and International Experience, students and faculty recently met at GPub in downtown Providence for a class reunion. Twelve of the 15 students and faculty who participated in the international business elective last spring attended the drinks and appetizers gathering, organized by Laura Hasler ’14 & ’16G and Dean Jacqueline Elick, Ph.D.
Students traveled from Rhode Island, Boston, and even New York City to meet with their former classmates and faculty leaders, Francine Newth, Global Fellow and Professor of Management, as well as Elcik.
According to Hasler, the group of students looks back on the trip with fond memories and was eager to attend the mini-reunion. Although most students signed up for the trip last year as an individual or with one other friend, they quickly became close through traveling, working on case studies, and exploring Paris over their seven-day abroad experience.
