The term “micro” may be synonymous with miniature, but the curriculum offered to students enrolled in the Providence College School of Business’ Micro MBA Certificate Program is far from that.
Just last week, 23 working professionals from companies such as CVS, Electric Boat, and Fire Systems Inc. completed the first of their 10-week long program to earn a Micro MBA Certificate from the PCSB. Students had the opportunity to meet their peers as well as learn about management decision making and the marketing mix during their class last Wednesday.
Every Wednesday evening from now until November 16, 2016, Micro MBA students will engage in interdisciplinary studies and receive a foundational education in the principles of business. The course content, taught exclusively by PC faculty, covers a different facet of a traditional business education each week. Topics range from management and accounting to information technology and social media.
The PCSB announced the advent of its Micro MBA Certificate Program, the first such program to be offered in Rhode Island, this past January. The program officially launched in March, making this semester’s enrollees the second class of students to earn their Micro MBA from PC.
