Congratulations to School of Business marketing seniors Nicole Battaglia, Haley Broberg, Alexandra Chapman, Patrick Gray, Brendon McGuire, Mariana Perdomo Toro, Valerie Podbelski, Caroline Spencer, and Jennifer White. These students have recently been ranked among the top 16 teams through their participation in a recent marketing case competition.
The Collegiate Chapters Council of the American Marketing Association (AMA) runs this annual International Collegiate Case Competition, which is a yearlong event that challenges top undergraduate marketing students in a team setting. This year’s competition involved a case challenge featuring The Hershey Company’s Ice Breakers brand, for which students were asked to develop a marketing strategy. The recently announced results named 10 finalist teams and 6 semi-finalist teams, among which the Providence College team was ranked. This is the first PCSB team to ever reach the semi-finals in this competition, and the group was guided and advised by marketing professors Mark DeFanti and Rae Caloura. The semi-finalists will be recognized at the competition’s awards dinner in March.
