After the inaugural year of the Business Education Innovation Fellows Program, spearheaded by Business Education Innovation Center Director Cary Collins, Dean Sylvia Maxfield sits down with one of the faculty-student fellowship pairs to talk about the impact of their partnership. Michael Kraten, assistant professor of accountancy, and MBA student David Bradley teamed up after Bradley suggested an angle of a case study that Kraten hadn’t considered.

“The idea of this program is to crowd-source ideas from students because it’s hard for faculty to really get in students’ shoes,” Maxfield says. Putting the two together leads to “student-faculty co-creation of innovation.”

Bradley and Kraten were one of four pairs to participate in the first year of the fellows program.
