Two teams of PCSB students competed in the regional CFA Research Challenge finals held at the University of Connecticut over the weekend. Congratulations to those teams on a job well done.

One team, including undergraduates William Haas ’15 and Patrick O’Donnell ’15 as well as MBA students James Carrington, John Vesce, and Elizabeth Worthley, took first place in the competition and will go on to represent Connecticut and Rhode Island in the Research Challenge Americas Regional. This stage of the competition includes winning teams from each regional challenge in North, Central, and South Americas and will be held in Atlanta, Ga., April 15-16. The top collegiate teams from the Americas Region will compete for a chance to advance to the 2015 CFA Institute Research Challenge Global Final on April 17.

Congratulations and thanks are also due to faculty adviser Prof. Liu Wang, of the Finance Department, and professional mentors Rodger Metzer, CFA, and Paul Musarra, CFA, for their diligent work with the two teams.
