While Francisco Oller ’16, a former management major, may have just graduated this past May, he continues to act upon a passion he discovered during his undergraduate studies at Providence College.

A former motivational speaker on campus, Oller recently published an article with The PMD Foundation, a publication which raises awareness for the medical condition he was diagnosed with in 1996. The piece chronicles the timeline and challenges of his diagnosis with PMD/SPG2, a gene mutation, and how his time at PC inspired him to host annual motivational speaking engagements.

Oller, who graduated magna cum laude, will be beginning his first year as an MBA student at the University of Tampa. Despite the challenges his handicap presents to him on a daily basis, Oller approaches obstacles with a positive mindset thanks to his faith, his family, and his friends. He plans to continue to share his story not only to raise awareness of PMD but also to help his listeners and readers adopt a more optimistic outlook on life.
