Dean Maxfield Speaks at Economic Outlook Breakfast

The city of Providence’s 17th Economic Outlook Breakfast, hosted by Santander Bank and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, recently invited Dean Sylvia Maxfield, Ph.D. to serve on a panel discussing the Providence-area economy. Approximately 400 business and civic leaders from the area gathered for the breakfast on Tuesday, March 28 at the Omni Providence Hotel.

The Providence Journal captured Maxfield’s presence in an article providing an update on renovations to the city’s Jewelry District, which are expected to be completed by June.

Other panelists joining Maxfield in discussion of the city’s economic outlook included Iftikhar Ahmad, President & CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation; Tom Dziki, Senior Vice President, Real Estate & Sustainability for UNFI; Richard Galvin, President & Founder of CV Properties; and Dr. Peter Snyder, Senior Vice President & Chief Research Officer at Lifespan Hospital System.
